FAQ

Straight answers about who we are, how we work, and what to expect when you shop through Clothes Style Trends. If your question isn’t here, email us at hello@clothesstyletrends.com.

Do you sell these clothes?

No. Clothes Style Trends is an independent style guide, not a store. We don’t hold inventory, take payments, or ship anything. When you click “View Deal,” you leave our site and buy directly from the retailer — Amazon, Walmart, eBay, or another partner.

How do you make money?

We’re reader-supported through affiliate links. If you click through to a retailer and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from that store. It costs you nothing extra, and it never decides what we choose to feature. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Do I pay more by using your links?

No — you pay the retailer’s normal price, exactly what you’d pay if you went to their site directly. The commission comes out of the retailer’s end, not yours. There’s no markup, surcharge, or hidden fee for using our links.

Are the prices on your site accurate?

We work hard to keep things current, but prices and availability change constantly, sometimes within the same day. The retailer’s own page is always the source of truth. Any price we mention in a guide is only an example to illustrate a point — always check the live price at checkout before you buy.

Is it safe to buy through your links?

Our links send you to the retailer’s own secure checkout — you’re shopping with Amazon, Walmart, or eBay just as you normally would, under their security and buyer protections. We never handle your payment details or see your card information. As with any online shopping, review the seller and listing before you buy, especially for third-party or pre-owned items.

How do returns, refunds, and exchanges work?

They’re handled entirely by the retailer you bought from, under their return policy — not by us. We don’t have access to your order, so we can’t process a return or issue a refund. Check your order confirmation or the store’s customer service for the return window and steps. Policies differ, especially for pre-owned and third-party listings, so it’s worth reading them before you buy.

What’s the difference between new and used items you feature?

We cover both. New items ship in original condition from the retailer or brand. Pre-owned, vintage, or refurbished items (most common on eBay) vary in condition and are described using grading terms like NWT, EUC, or GUC. Pre-loved pieces can be great value, but condition and fit matter more, so read the listing carefully. Our used clothing condition guide explains how to read those listings with confidence.

How do you pick which products to feature?

We follow real trends across US and Canadian retailers, then compare options so you land on a strong choice for the style — not just the first or highest-paying listing. We add the context that actually helps: fit and sizing notes, condition notes for pre-owned pieces, and honest comparisons. If we haven’t confirmed something, we don’t claim it.

Do you personally test everything you recommend?

We’re transparent about this: we can’t hands-on test every single item across every retailer. What we do is research styles carefully, explain fit, fabric, warmth, and condition, and point you to categories worth browsing. When a note is based on general knowledge of a style rather than testing a specific unit, we keep our wording honest about that.

Do you take sponsorships or paid placements?

Our editorial picks are independent and aren’t for sale. If we ever publish sponsored or paid content, we’ll label it clearly so you always know the difference. Earning an affiliate commission on a normal retail link is not the same as being paid to recommend something — and it never changes which products we feature or the price you pay.

Do you ship to Canada as well as the US?

We’re written for shoppers in both the US and Canada, but shipping is up to the retailer, not us. Availability, delivery times, duties, and costs vary by store and by item, especially across the border. Always check the retailer’s shipping details for your address before you buy.

How can I contact you or suggest a topic?

Email hello@clothesstyletrends.com. We love suggestions for trends and categories to cover, and we read every message. Just remember that order, shipping, and return questions need to go to the store you bought from — see our Contact page for why.
